This poetry is a hot dose of emotion and the sense of the beauty of nature in the complexity of human feelings. The author is, in fact, the Slavic Mermaid herself because her mind and talent are beyond our dimension of life perception.
Fragments of Daria Galant’s books reviews
In search of yourself and the wind in your hair – The House of Winds by Daria Galant
Daria Galant is an experienced writer who does not abandon her non-literary experience while sitting down in front of a blank piece of paper. She proved this many times by hiding part of her own soul and charm in subsequent novels. One cannot, therefore, separate own life from what is enclosed in the pages of the book. And because there are many things going on both in author’s life and in the book, you can gain a lot by reading Daria’s next novel – the House of Winds.
A review of Daria Galant’s novel – Południca
The novel Południca is characterized by an intricate structure: the plot smoothly goes from the expanded romance sequence, saturated with colorful threads of morality, into the thickening darkness of the Gothic world, shown in the elegant style of Daphne du Maurier – the author of Rebecca and the Birds. The perfidious, hidden activities of the “gothic villain” harmonize here with the horror of the spirits and ghosts evoked by the village community. In this world, a young, beautiful and talented journalist, finds herself in the position of “innocence and oppressed”, defends her life desperately.
The desired Południca -taking about Daria Galant’s novel with no fear
Daria Galant created a unique and beautiful novel at the same time. Having informed the reader, that he may find in this book a reality created in similar way as in Leśmian’s books (at least I thought so after seeing the title), she put into her book the power of imagination, poetic imagination and what I write with satisfaction, a quite a good idea that she had in her head.
